The acitivities within the UniSAFE project (Gender-based violence and institutional responses: Building a knowledge base and operational tools to make universities and research organisations safe) encompass various organized efforts by the members of the multi-disciplinary international project consortium of nine European partners. The strength of the consortium is based on the partners’ in-depth knowledge and extensive collaborative track record on researching of gender-based violence (hereafter: GBV), transforming academic insights into operational tools, and knowledge dissemination.
Confronting the problem of gender-based violence, including sexual harassment in universities and other research performing organisations (RPOs) is a global concern. Partnerships between GBV-researchers and RPOs are prerequisite to produce better knowledge on GBV and sexual harassment, and to translate this knowledge into operational tools.
The University of Novi Sad became a partner institution along with two other universities in Serbia (University of Belgrade and Union University). The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by UNS on 29th October 2021.
UniSAFE contact point at UNS is Assistant Professor Karolina Lendak-Kabok, PhD.
