Prof. Artur Bjelica, PhD, Full professor at the Faculty of Medicine Novi Sad

Dr. Artur Bjelica was born on September 2, 1970 in Gorlice (Poland). He acquired primary and secondary education in biology in Novi Sad. He began his medical studies at the Faculty of Medicine in Novi Sad in 1989 and finished it in 1995. During 1997-2001 he specialized in gynecology and obstetrics, and in 2007 he completed subspecialization in endocrinology. He completed his master's studies at the Faculty of Medicine in 2003, and obtained PhD in medicine in 2004. Since 2006, he has held the position of the Head of the Ward of Reproductive Endocrinology at the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Clinical Center of Vojvodina, and currently holds the position of the Head of the Department of Human Reproduction. In his clinical work, he focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of infertility, methods of assisted reproduction, as well as the treatment of disorders in the field of reproductive endocrinology. He advanced his knowledge and skills by participating in numerous domestic and international conferences, as well as during the study visits to Austria, Spain, Singapore, USA, Malaysia, South Africa and Argentina. Since 2001, he has been employed at the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Faculty of Medicine in Novi Sad, where he was elected assistant trainee, assistant, assistant professor and associate professor. In 2019, he was elected at the position of full professor at the Faculty of Medicine in Novi Sad.

In addition to his education in the field of medical sciences, he completed his studies in psychology at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad in 1999, and in 2005 he obtained the PhD title in psychological sciences. He is an educated and certified psychotherapist for several psychotherapeutic models. In the period 2009-2012 he worked as an assistant professor at the State University of Novi Pazar, in the field of psychology. In 2018, he completed specialist academic studies in health management at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences in Belgrade, and in 2020 he defended his doctoral dissertation at the same faculty and obtained the title of PhD in organizational sciences.

He speaks English, Italian, French, Polish and Russian.

Areas of scientific interest of Dr. Artur Bjelica represent a wide range in the field of medicine: gynecology and obstetrics, reproductive medicine, assisted reproductive technologies, embryology, regenerative medicine, genetic diseases, endocrinology, pharmacology, epidemiological studies, demographic aspects and public health; psychology: medical psychology, social psychology, psychology of gender, and gender differences and similarities, communicology and organizational sciences: e-business, e-health, Internet technologies, application of information technologies in medicine, digital communication.

He is the author or co-author of 150 scientific publications, published in international and domestic journals and peer-reviewed proceedings of scientific conferences. He is a reviewer for international journals Medicine (Wolter Kluwers), Serbian Archives of All Medicine and the national journal Medicinski pregled. He is a member of the editorial board of the journal Word of Physician. He was participant in several domestic and international scientific projects.
