The Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SASA) has elected 35 new members: 15 full members, 14 corresponding members and 6 foreign members. The members of the SASA were elected by secret ballot on the Electoral Assembly Meeting among 58 candidates. Among the candidates were also professors from the University of Novi Sad.
Professor Miljko Satarić, PhD, a full professor at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, was elected as a full member of the Department of Mathematics, Physics and Geo Sciences.
Professor Jasmina Grković Mejdžor, PhD, a full professor at the Faculty of Philosophy, was elected as a full member of the Department of Languages and Literature.
Professor Velimir Popsavin, PhD, a full professor at the Faculty of Sciences, was elected as a corresponding member of the Department of Chemical and Biological Sciences.
Professor Slobodan Marković, PhD, a full professor at the Faculty of Sciences, was elected a corresponding member of the Department of Mathematics, Physics and Geo Sciences.
