SIGNING OF THE AGREEMENT ON COOPERATION AMONG THE STATE UNIVERSITIES IN SERBIA

The University of Novi Sad hosted a meeting of the rectors of all state universities in Serbia: the University of Belgrade, the University of Niš, the University of Kragujevac, the University of Defence, the State University of Novi Pazar, the University of Arts in Belgrade, the University of Priština temporarily settled in Kosovska Mitrovica and the University of Novi Sad. The conference was held at Central University Building, on the 17th of March 2016.

 

On that occasion, the representatives of all state universities signed the Agreement on Establishing the Community of State Universities, which will be headquartered in the University of Novi Sad. Professor Dušan Nikolić, the Rector of the University of Novi Sad, was unanimously elected as the President of the Community, and professor Zoran Erić, the Rector of the University of Arts in Belgrade as the Vice- President.

On the same day, the Agreement on organizing joint doctoral studies in mathematics was signed, as well as on funding of a doctoral school of mathematics on the level of the Republic of Serbia. The Agreement was signed by: the University of Niš, the University of Kragujevac, the Faculty of Science of the University of Kragujevac, the University of Novi Sad, the State University of Novi Pazar and the Mathematical Institute of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts.
