MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING SIGNED WITH WUHAN TEXTILE UNIVERSITY

The University of Novi Sad and Wuhan Textile University, China, signed the Memorandum of Understanding on July 11^th, 2019. The Memorandum was signed on the occasion of the visit of Prof. Dr. Lin Li, the Director of the International Office of the Wuhan Textile University, to the University of Novi Sad.

Professor Li was welcomed by the University of Novi Sad Vice-Rector for International Relations Prof. Dr. Dejan Madić. The meeting was also attended by the Dean of Technical Faculty “Mihajlo Pupin” Prof. Dr. Dragica Radosav, the Faculty Vice-Dean Prof. Dr. Vasilije Petrović and the Assistant Danka Joksimović

The bilateral Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Professor Madić and Professor Li on behalf of their institutions. The document formalizes future cooperation between two universities that have both been members of Belt and Road World Textile University Alliance, founded in December 2018. Thanks to the participation in this world university network, especially through the activities of the Chair for Textile and Clothing Sciences and Design of the Technical Faculty “Mihajlo Pupin” in Zrenjanin, the University of Novi Sad has been involved in the activities of the elite group of world renowned universities in the field of textile technology and engineering.

Beside the textile technology, the bilateral Memorandum of Understanding opens up the possibilities for cooperation in other fields as well, such as art, design and management.
