The University of Novi Sad has been granted one more Horizon 2020 project, entitled “Embedding RRI in Western Balkan Countries: Enhancement of Self-Sustaining R&I Ecosystems”, with acronym WBC-RRI.NET (no. 101006279). The WBC-RRI.NET project aims to further boost Research and Innovation (R&I) in the Western Balkan countries (WBCs) by adopting a sustainable development framework based on Responsible Research and Innovation principles (RRI) at the local level.
This initiative will help enhancing R&I planning, including Smart Specialisation Strategies in the WBCs and foster strong socioeconomic development, while informing R&I policy and enabling the Western Balkan region to address its needs. At the end of the project it will have sparked open dialogue, created a regional network and helped the WBCs to significantly contribute to the goal of a single, borderless European Research Area (ERA).
The starting date of the project is March 1st, 2021 and it will last in the next three years. The project cosnortium is composed of 13 partners from 8 countries.
