NOVI SAD – MEETING POINT OF YOUTH FROM ALL OVER EUROPE

Thanks to the initiative of the University of Novi Sad students, who are active members of the AEGEE Novi Sad Branch, the city of Novi Sad will be the host of the news General Assembly – Agora of this youth organization that will be organized in spring 2022. It is the largest and the most significant event of this organization that will gather over 800 young people from all parts of Europe in Novi Sad in 2022.

Under the motto The Future Relies on Us! AEGEE Novi Sad will organize the event that will focus on the most important issues of the organization. The meeting will also encompass numerous workshops and all participants will have an opportunity to get more familiar with the history and life of Novi Sad and Vojvodina. The event will also include a conference about the youth activism that will be open for all interested students and young people from Novi Sad, regardless of their membership in AEGEE.

AEGEE Novi Sad Branch was elected as the host for 2022 at the General Assembly held in May 2021 and the University of Novi Sad officially supported its candidature among other relevant institutions.

AEGEE is the largest interdisciplinary student organization in Europe. It promotes unification of Europe, cross-border cooperation, communication, and integration among students, with the aim to create open and tolerant society of tomorrow. It currently functions in 150 university cities in 40 European countries and has over 13,000 members. As non-governmental, politically independent and non-profitable organization, it is open to students of all faculties. Its activities fully rely on its local branches (antennas) in university cities all over Europe, coordinated by the European Commission.
