UNS AWARDED AT THE 2021 INTERNATIONAL STUDENT COMPETITION ON ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN AND DIGITAL MODELLING

The University of Novi Sad received an honorary award for the organizational achievement at 2021 International Student Competition on Architectural Design and Digital Modelling, organized under the auspices of the Belt and Road Architectural University International Consortium – BRAUIC.

A team of master students of architecture from the Department of architecture and urban design of the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad – Staša Zeković, Iva Pejčić, Anastasija Radovanović, Marko Mihajlović and Mladen Kesegić, were awarded with the Honorable Mention for their architectural project “Absurd on Begej Channel”. Furthermore, Ivana Miškeljin and Marko Jovanović from the same Faculty were awarded with the special recognition for exceptional supervisors.

The competition was initiated by the BRAUIC International University Consortium, hosted by the Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture – BUCEA. The event included teachers and students of 34 universities from 13 countries.

The international jury, comprised of 24 experts, chose 30 winners and also conferred 25 honourable mentions, according to the competition criteria such as the quality, originality and uniqueness of projects. Finally, the jury also awarded the participating institutions and teaching staff with 28 Organizational Achievement Awards and 81 Outstanding Supervisor Awards in total.
