The University of Novi Sad organized a Welcome Day for the new group of Erasmus+ incoming students that chose the University as their academic destination for the winter semester 2022/2023. The event took place on 10th October 2022, in the University of Novi Sad Rectorate Building.
The students were welcomed by the Vice-Rector for International Affairs Prof. Dr. Sabina Halupka-Rešetar. The programme also included presentations given by the representatives of the University International Relations Office, the Erasmus Student Network, the University Central Library and the Faculty of Philosophy Centre for Serbian as a Foreign Language.
A total number of incoming mobility grants for the purposes of studying and student internships in the first semester of 2022/2023 at the University of Novi Sad are 51. The majority of foreign students chose the Faculty of Medicine Novi Sad for their academic host institution, and other host institutions include the Faculty of Philosophy, the Academy of Arts, the Faculty of Sciences, the Faculty of Technical Sciences, the Faculty of Agriculture, the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Technology. The guest students come from a number of European countries, such as Spain, Poland, Germany, Turkey, France, Austria, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Greece, Croatia, Norway, Denmark, Italy, Russia, Portugal, North Macedonia, Hungary, Romania and Slovenia. Furthermore, among the incoming guests is also one student from Thailand within the framework of KA 107 Erasmus+ programme.
The Welcome Day also offered the Erasmus+ students the opportunity to directly meet with the faculty Erasmus+ coordinators, and the audience especially enjoyed a music programme performed by the University of Novi Sad Academic Cultural and Art Society “Sonja Marinković”.
